All Change!

I have had really a rather frustrating week as I have been without my car, I hate being stuck in, it usually leads to all sorts of crazy things in my house! Cabin Fever this week led to me deciding to put the two little Bobbins into the same bedroom and turning the now empty bedroom into a Playroom.I had this brilliant theory about all the toys being confined to one room, less tidying, more imaginative play (think it may have just been semi-lucid ramblings of a mad woman now though!!).

About halfway through this (right about the time I was single-handedly dragging the wardrobe between rooms) I thought to myself "what in the world have you started here you nut-case??!?" Yep - one of those. It has turned into a mammoth project - one that I still haven't finished yet. I currently have a hallway of homeless toys and books that I now don't have space for. Maybe it's time to get ruthless. The girls have loved sharing though and have so far been very very good at going to sleep - though watch this space, I'm sure the tide will turn!

I have been adding a few new items to my craft room (thank goodness for home deliveries or I would never have got through the week!). I ordered these lovely lovely things last week. Theme developing here perhaps???

A toadstool money box, spotty pencil tub and musical toadstools!

This has been on my wish list for a long time now, it plays the theme tune from Love Story!
I love the little grass painted on the bottom
I am having to watch it like a hawk though - it has fans!
I have managed to get some sewing done this week, not as much as I would like, but I am nearly finished my monthly make and will post some photos over the weekend - let's just say you won't be surprised when you see what it is!

xx

The playroom idea is brillinat. I have toys everywhere, I know it will change as they get older, you just dont want to wish their little lives away because of something all parents go through - toy storage. The music box is wonderful, bet it doesnt stay in your craft room for long though....x

Some projects just take longer than planned! Love your little toadstools - where did you get the music box if you don't mind me asking?

This project is looking like it might be finished in time for them leaving home!! Though I did take my own advice and was ruthless on the book front earlier - feeling a lot happier! I got it all from Cox and Cox. They were having a half price kids sale (toys that is, not actual kids, I don't need any more of those!!) so I stocked up on birthday party presents for the next year and couldn't resist these little treasures for little old me!

Ohh, mushrooms! I really can't get enough of them. I have to know - what exactly is the mushy on the far left? I'm imagining the top opening up to something spectacular, but I could be wrong. Love the bold colors of this little collection.
